Getting Ready For Cheltenham Festival 2017 Matched Betting

Shares

Cheltenham Festival 2017 is less than 7 days away and is one of the most popular betting events of the year, and it’s also one of the most profitable events in Matched Betting.

In this post I talk about my experiences last year, and share some of my learning points as well as what you can expect from Cheltenham Festival 2017.

If you keep on reading I’ll also share with you a special discount available in the run up to the event.

What To Expect For Cheltenham Festival 2017

The Cheltenham Festival will run from 14th March 2017 to 17th March 2017 and will include 28 races over the 4 days.

Below I will share some of the things you can expect in the lead-up to and during the Cheltenham Festival

Enhanced Sign Up Offers From Bookmakers:

There’s bound to be many sign-up offers from different bookmakers during and in the run-up to the festival. So I think it’s a good opportunity to build your matched betting bank.

I’ve read that bigger bookmakers may scrutinise your account more if you open one during the festival so I would recommend that you sign up to these a bit earlier. That way you can also familiarise yourself with the site in time for the festival.

Instead, you should try and take full advantage of enhanced sign-up offers from smaller bookmakers. You’ll be able to find a list of sign-up offers worth doing within the Profit Accumulator member’s area.

Lots Of Offers From Bookmakers:

There’ll be a lot of different offers available from different bookmakers, so a very good opportunity to earn a decent amount of extra income.

How To Prepare For Cheltenham Festival 2017

I remember when I first took part in Cheltenham Festival last year. I didn’t know much about it, but I was glad that I’d had the chance to get some Matched Betting experience for 8 weeks before taking part. So I’d built up enough matched betting balance to allow me to make £100 within that 4 day period.

As you can imagine, £100 in 4 days was quite exciting. I didn’t think I’d be able to make that in a short space of time, especially considering I was still quite new to betting on horses.

This year I’m hoping to double my profits, and earn at least £200. I would have expected to earn much more, but sadly I booked work for 2 out of 4 of the festival days, so I don’t think I’ll make as much as I could have. But an extra £200 or so would still be really nice for me.

Based on my experience last year I’ll be sharing my tips on how to prepare for Matched Betting during Cheltenham Festival 2017 below:

1) Horse Racing Mug Bets:

I would encourage you to place mug bets on horse races in the run up to Cheltenham. A mug bet is a bet you place to make yourself look like a “mug” punter. This can be done by placing small bets on popular sporting events, in this case, popular horse races. The aim is to make yourself look like an average bettor. You should lay these bets off at the exchange so you’ll only incur a small loss.

I would also encourage betting on horses if you haven’t done so before. Do a few horse refund offers to get used to them before the festival. If you’ve always been betting on football, then start betting on loads of horses during the festival, that could flag up your account.

2) Be Sure To Have Enough Money In The Exchanges:

It’s a good idea to try and get as much money into your betting exchange accounts as possible. This could mean withdrawing some money from bookmaker accounts and transferring them to the exchange accounts. I’ve also gone to accounts I don’t normally use and withdrawn money from them to put into the exchanges instead. I also have some extra money in my “MB” bank account and PayPal to easy add/transfer funds if need be.

If you get started asap, you can build up your betting bank and have a decent amount of money to complete as many offers as you can.

3) Sign Up To The Top Bookmakers:

Some of the top bookies usually provide the most/best offers, so it’s always a good idea to sign up with some these top bookies below:

William Hill

Coral

Skybet

PaddyPower

Betfair Sportsbook

Bet365

Betway

Betfred

Totesport

4) Get Familiar With Horse Racing Offers and Extra Place Offers:

In order to take full advantage of Cheltenham, it’s a good idea to get familiar with different horse racing offers. Last year I stuck to the offers I was familiar with. Now that a year has passed I’ve done a lot more offers since then, so there’s a better earning opportunity.

PA offer some video and written guides on horse racing refunds, and their horse racing software. You can learn from these, and you can always ask questions within the forum.

5) Sign Up With Matchbook:

Matchbook is a betting exchange and I’ve noticed a few times in the PA offers list that Matchbook do 0% commission on horse bets. I’m not sure if they’ll be offering the same during Cheltenham festival, but it’s worth opening anyway for future events.

6) Stay Away From Offers That Require Wagering Requirements:

I didn’t do offers like this last year, but I have come across offers that have wagering requirements lately. I would encourage staying away from them because they can tie up your funds for a few days and make it difficult to take part in other offers. It’s better to do those particular offers before or after Cheltenham.

7) Set Up A Paypal Account For Quicker Deposits and Withdraws.

Although not all bookmakers allow you to deposit/withdraw via Paypal, there is still a good number that do. It’s free to set up a Paypal account, and you’ll be able to transfer your money from different accounts much quicker. Some bookmaker withdrawals only take a few hours via Paypal, so it’s definitely worth creating an account if you don’t already have one.

8) Take Advantage of Discounted Offers From Matched Betting Services.

I personally use Profit Accumulator, and it’s my recommended service (see below for a special discount offer).

There are other alternatives you may wish to look at such as Oddsmonkey and MatchedBets. (These sites are currently not offering any discounts, but still offer free trials)

Profit Accumulator are currently doing a special discounted offer in the run up to Cheltenham Festival.

The offer includes 7-days of Platinum Membership for only £1, and then £17.99/month thereafter. That’s a £60/year saving from the regular price of £22.99/month.

Not only that, but all Platinum Members get FREE access to their Match Catcher software.

What is Match Catcher?

profit accumulator match catcherThe Match Catcher software is made for betting on horse refund offers, and this software makes the whole process much easier, and more profitable. It really is an essential tool that will help you take advantage of many horse racing refund offers.

As you can tell, the Cheltenham Festival is a very popular horse racing event, and as a result, there’ll be lots of horse racing refund offers from the bookmakers. The Match Catcher tool will be perfect in helping you do as many offers as possible and helping you make as much money as possible.

Note: At the time of writing, I noticed this discounted offer isn’t available through the main Profit Accumulator website. If you’d like to get started, you can sign up via my referral link.

Considering I made £100 during the 4 day Cheltenham Festival, I think £1 is a very small investment for a much bigger gain. And you also have the opportunity to make £100s every month if you choose to continue.

Top Tips For Cheltenham Festival 2017

Don’t Rush

It’s easy to feel like you need to rush ahead to make as much money as you can, but it’s also an easy way to make mistakes. Try to pace yourself, and take your time with the different offers.

Don’t Take On Too Much

If you’re new to Matched Betting or horse racing offers don’t feel forced to take on every single offer. Do the offers you’re most comfortable with, and use this as a way to build your balance. Mistakes can cost you. The aim is to make a profit, so doing less offers could actually be better for you in the long run.

Have Fun

Cheltenham Festival is a profitable time, but can also be a stressful time is you rush and try to take on too much. Take this as an opportunity to earn some extra money and a time to have fun doing it. I remember having fun and feeling excited last year, so I definitely want to keep that momentum this year.

Final Words

Overall, there’s a good amount of money to be made during Cheltenham Festival 2017, and I hope you’ll be able to make the most of it.

I look forward to sharing my results after the festival and hearing how you get on too. Feel free to share your Cheltenham profits in the section below.

As mentioned above, Profit Accumulator are offering a great deal, especially as they’re including FREE access to the Match Catcher software. So if you’re interested in getting started then I’d definitely recommend the £1 trial…before it expires. (If you’re looking for alternative services, you can also take a look at the links above)

Don’t forget, it appears the offer isn’t currently available via the main Profit Accumulator website. You can sign up via my referral link here…or you could read my in-depth Profit Accumulator review here for more information.
